Here are some random baby posts that never became grownup adult posts:
I'm so backwards. When it's cold out, I want to wear a t-shirt for some reason, yet when it's hot AF out, I'm pulling on a sweatshirt. Am I alone? I've always been like this, per my mom.
What's on your playlist these days? I'm digging the new Liam Gallagher single, and I typically just check out Apple Music's curated daily playlists. But, I need a good "leave it on and don't skip a song" album. Shuffling my library is not an option, because I have Christmas music on there and it's weird to hear in June.
You know what's a really bad TV show? Two Broke Girls. I feel like every episode is the same and the jokes are predictable.
At what point does calling someone out online become cyber-bullying? Like, for example - if someone cuts you off, and you post their car, license plate and other descriptive details online, inviting a free-for-all of comments and namecalling...are you bullying? Nowadays, with social media...I tend to lean more toward yes, you are.Read More
To chill out. In every aspect of life, really. I have learned to speak more slowly, not fuss about small things, and not try to multitask with everything.
Not to worry about trying to fit a week's worth of outdoor activities in a day just because it's 80 degrees and sunny. Because, every day is pretty much like that, so it's okay if the day mostly consists of a late waking up, brunch, and then watching movies in pajamas and three iced coffees in a row, followed by an hour at the pool. In fact, that is more than okay.
That my hair doesn't always have to be perfect. I live by the beach, after all. Especially since I'm growing it long again, I like letting it just be wavy.
I also wear zero foundation/cover up on my skin, instead dusting a little bronzer on my cheeks. I also wear SPF every single day. Because, even in the car, the sun is shining on me.
That Jack Johnson's music finally makes sense, now.Read More
TGIF, folks. TGIF, indeed. I need a brain purge. So, let's be random!
The song that my husband and I chose to play while we were introduced for the first time as husband and wife was "Shine Bright" by John Brown's Body. I don't know if you know them, but you should. Give it a listen after the jump, while you read the rest of this post. That's my Friday gift to you.Read More
I'm a big country music lover. I'm a huge Miranda Lambert fan, and have been for years - even when I wasn't into other country music artists.
So, I've been to three Miranda shows in the past year and a half. One in Albany, NY - then in Chicago last summer, and just last night in Irvine, CA. If you've been to a country music concert, you know there's a lot of beer, ripped denim, boots, hats and...skin.Read More
You know when you're cruising along in your car, and the radio station starts playing a song you used to be obsessed with, but you haven't heard in years, and you're like, "Ohhhh my goodness, I totally forgot how much I loved this song and band!" - and then you immediately go to iTunes and download their greatest hits album?
I know that's an elaborate (and my personal true life) example, but you know what I'm getting at. There are so many different things to experience in life, that you can't possibly enjoy/love everything at once - so I think certain things come in cycles. Ya dig?
Here are some things that have come back full circle for me, recently:
Red Hot Chili Peppers. I bet you guessed that one.Read More
