POLL: Who was wrong?

My friends, Beth and Peter, are divorced and have two children. Their divorce was amicable, and they reached many agreements outside of court. Peter has moved on to a new, serious relationship with Amy while Beth is currently single. So, navigating this change has been a bit interesting, but they’re handling it swimmingly.

Especially since Peter and Amy recently moved in together.

I hate working out

I don't like sweating. I was the kid in gym class who walked the mile run as much as possible because I didn’t want to go to my next class a sweaty mess. I made an exception for dance, but it was a different kind of sweat than running around a track or a tennis court in the sun.

For years, I did pilates. I liked how it was toning, and didn’t require me wiping my forehead every 2 minutes. How in the world people do anything voluntarily with sweat dripping off the tip of their nose is beyond me.

Kids and social media

I remember being mortified that my mom had an unflattering (according to me) photo of me on her desk at work. I told her I didn’t like that photo and yet — there it was — for all who entered her office to see. And, since she worked in the Capitol, a lot of people saw it.

But, nowadays, kids have to contend with their parents putting their faces on social media and documenting their milestones. I do it. It’s become the norm, really — for all of us to share our lives…funny moments, happy moments, sad moments, proud moments, etc.
